Jane and I planted some morning glories over the weekend. Here you can see her helping me with the seeds. Hopefully we’ll have some growing things to show you in a few weeks!
We put her in one of my old t-shirts to protect her clothes. It was a floor length dress on her, and she seemed to enjoy wearing it!
So I call home this morning to say hi to everyone (my men’s group meets at 6:15am, so I left before anyone else was awake). Rebecca takes the phone over to where Jane is eating breakfast, and puts me on speaker.
“Hi Daddy!”
“Hi Jane, how are you?”
“I see you… on the phone!”
The best part was hearing her smile through the phone. Too bad we don’t have video phones, so I could have seen her eating her yogurt and scraping the bowl out with her fingers when her spoon ceased to be productive.
Ron had his first meal of rice cereal this past Saturday. Grammy and Grampy were in town, and they helped feed him. You can see he had quite the audience!
Ron was into the cereal from the first mouthful, and by the end was helping me get the spoon in his mouth! It made for nice symmetry to have my parents here for his first feeding: we were with Rebecca’s parents when Jane had her first cereal.
