Jane’s opinion about having a new baby changes from week to week. Not long ago while sitting together at lunch Jane said, “Mommy, I don’t want a new baby. I want a dog!”
However, she seems to have warmed up to the idea. Today when I picked her up from school she informed me she was ready for her new brother. Since we do not yet know the gender of the baby, I responded, “So you think it is a brother?”
Jane replied, “Yes. And his name is January.”
