So this happened almost a month ago, but I forgot to post it. Our growing Peter is rolling himself onto his tummy a good bit these days. Lately he is also really interested in grabbing his toys and especially his toes. Jane and Ron have particularly found this entertaining, because now they can hand him toys and he grabs them. Needless to say, Peter thinks Jane and Ron are lots of fun.
Lately, Jane has found it enjoyable to “make Mommy’s hair pretty.” This usually just consists of tousling it around with her fingers, but occasionally she does have a comb or brush. Last night she had a brush and was giving me the latest fantastic hairstyle when Ron decided he wanted to be in on the Mommy pampering too. So he decided he would drive his cars on Mommy’s back. This might not sound particularly pleasant, but it actually felt nice.
Jane did some writing today on the magna-doodle.
Impressive! She said her ‘a’ and ‘n’ “were kinda funny”. The ‘E’ is perfect, and we let the ‘J’ slide. We were impressed!
With a little coaxing, Jane smiled and bounced for the camera.
Today while telling me about ‘dog food Jell-O’ (not sure I can explain that one), I asked Jane what color it was. She said, “Red! My favorite color. But it comes in other colors, too.â€
“Oh, what other colors does it come in?â€
“I don’t remember, but God remembers. (pause) He just can’t tell us right now. He’s busy talking to his son, Jesus. (pause) We don’t want to interrupt them while they are talking. That would not be nice.â€
So it rained here today. Jane showed me something I’d never seen before.
“Look Daddy! Did you see that? It was rain crumbs.”
When it drips after it has stopped raining, that is rain crumbs.
The kids started preschool last week. We have pictures from then, we’ve just been too disorganized to get them up before now.

“Yeah, I know, its because my legs are getting so long. They reach almost all the way to the ground.”
