Your Mommy’s Son
Friday, January 25th, 2008Allergies
Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008So my best guess is that Jane heard somewhere, probably at school, about allergies. However, her understanding seems to be that an allergy is anything that bothers you or you don’t want at that moment in time. For example, on Saturday, she told me, “School gives me the allergy.” Additionally, when we had some friends over recently and their daughter and Ron were playing together rather loudly Jane came over to me and said, “Those two-year olds! They give me the allergy!”
Sayings of Ron
Sunday, January 13th, 2008“I’m happy, Daddy”
“You’re happy?”
“Yeah.”
– said at various times. Usually not in response to, “How are you?”
Lizard Claws
Saturday, January 12th, 2008We were discussing watching a Veggie Tales video, and I suggested one. Jane said she wanted to watch something else, but was informed we were not going to watch it. She was disappointed, but then said she wanted to watch “The Lizard of Claws”.
Peter’s Tooth Picture
Thursday, January 10th, 2008You can see the tooth just starting to poke through.
In other news, the stomach virus continues to plague the kids. Ron has been sick three different days over the past week. In between bouts of sharing his stomach contents, he’s fine, aside from some diarrhea. Jane was sick one day, but so far seems ok since. Peter had one episode too, but has been ok since. Praise the Lord for pinesol, lysol and bleach! Now to just get the smell out of the couch…
Breaking (thru) News
Tuesday, January 8th, 2008Peter has a tooth coming in!
Pictures will have to wait. His siblings are dealing with a nasty stomach bug (that I also had to deal with), and we’re spending a lot of time cleaning (or Mommy is spending a lot of time cleaning. Thanks Honey!).
The 2 Year Old’s Pronunciation Guide
Sunday, January 6th, 2008More Janeisms
Sunday, January 6th, 2008Yesterday, during nap time, Jane complained that Ron was keeping her awake:
“Ron keeps introducing me”
Later, Mommy was reading Wynken, Blynken, and Nod to her, and at the point where the story reveals who Wynken, Blynken, and Nod are, at the climax of the book, where the kid should be getting sleepy, Jane asked brightly, referring to the illustration,
“What’s the cat’s name?”
