Peter is following the pattern of his siblings: walking just before his first birthday! He totters around pretty well now. We’ve got some of it on tape. It is amazing to watch his improvement just this week.
Probably his favorite thing is to walk around with a ball. He’ll drop/throw it, and chase after it. Kid is pretty fast crawling, but sometimes he’ll walk after it.
The other day, I called him to come to me while he was standing. He took a step, lost his balance and sat down. So he just put his head down and speed crawled over to me, giving me a headbutt when he got to me. (That’s how he shows affection, pushing his head into you.)

One thing about Peter is that he can’t stand being left out. If Jane and Ron are busy doing anything, he thinks he should be right in there with them. So tonight I decided to let the kids watch a little bit of Word World before bed. Jane and Ron very excitedly ran to the couch to get ready for the show. Peter did not want to be left out and let out a cry of frustration. Then to my amazement, pushed himself up to a standing position and took three (yes 3!) steps all on his own before loosing his balance. Considering that up to this point we had only seen him take one or two steps total, I was really surprised.
