I have to share a favorite one of mine that this story reminds me of. My youngest (of three) nursed until he was three. The last at night and the first in the morning were the last feedings to give up. But afterward he was so much in the habit of drinking a lot at night, his diapers and bed would be soaked by morning. I supposed he got used to waking up cold and wet.
One morning when he was five years old after I had changed his bed, I commented, “You know, Tim, if you could just wake up to use the bathroom in the night, you would not have this wet bed.”

“Oh,” he said, “You want me to use the toilet in the night?”

“Well, yes, if you can,” I replied.

He has never had a wet bed since!

Ann and Chris took their five-year-old, Brian to see “Transformers” today. Said he was a bit tense at the beginning with all the violence, but after that, they thought he enjoyed the movie.
